Deeply affordable: 68
Anhart originally conceived of this project on a fifty-foot wide empty lot near Main and Cordova that it had purchased. The plan was for a ‘Main Village’, a mixed-use building that would provide 70 micro-housing suites for a variety of income levels. Part-way through the construction, the project was sold to the City of Vancouver who completed construction with support for the Federal government’s Rapid Housing Initiative. The housing prioritizes those at risk of homelessness and all units are rented out at rates that are affordable to those living on income assistance. Residents are supported by MPA Society.
