The Aspen is located at East 6th Avenue and Main Street in Vancouver with easy access to parks, transit, shops and other amenities. The project was initiated by the City of Vancouver through an initiative that identified parcels of land that were suitable for development and invited Catalyst and other community housing developers to create affordable rental buildings. The 145 unit, pet-friendly building has a restaurant and health centre on the ground floor, as well as community gardens and a shared rooftop terrace. Catalyst allocated units for 16 adults living with autism and other developmental disabilities so they could live independently and be part of the community.
