The Hoy Creek Housing Co-operative was originally built in 1981. Forty years later, the townhomes became uninhabitable and were demolished. The property was transferred to the Community Land Trust Foundation of B.C. which undertook a multi-phased redevelopment. The first phase, a 6-storey rental apartment building with 132 units, has been completed. The new building backs onto a forested creek and is close to transit and walkable to many amenities. The Community Land Trust Foundation of B.C. is operating the new homes in partnership with the Hoy Creek Housing Co-operative. Construction of the next phase will bring an additional 140 homes.

Moderate Income – A home that is available for a monthly rent that is equal to the low-end of rents available in the private market. Also referred to as ‘Middle Income’ and ‘Affordable Market’.
