The Phoenix Society is a multi-service agency dedicated to providing accessible services and opportunities to people who face barriers related to addiction, mental health, housing, education, criminal justice involvement and/or employment. Opened in 2015, Rising Sun Villas is an innovative housing project for individuals re-integrating into the community from the justice system at different stages in the housing continuum. The project includes 29 transitional housing beds, 22 studio apartments and 23 affordable shared equity homes for individuals who have achieved a recovery-based lifestyle.

Deeply Affordable – A home that is affordable to people on a very limited income, such income assistance, disability assistance, and income support programs for seniors.
Rent Geared to Income – A home that is available to people with modest incomes. Rent is calculated to be affordable based on the tenant’s income.
Moderate Income – A home that is available for a monthly rent that is equal to the low-end of rents available in the private market. Also referred to as ‘Middle Income’ and ‘Affordable Market’.
