Rent Geared to Income: 82
The congregation of Shepard of the Valley Lutheran church sought to develop affordable housing on its land to support local seniors and families. The church building and parking took up only a fraction of the lot. The congregation partnered with Catalyst to make this happen and opened 70 apartment units and 12 townhouses in 2021. Catalyst is a non-profit developer that specializes in partnerships with municipalities, non-profits, charities, and other institutional and private owners that are mission-aligned.
