Rent Geared to Income: 12; Moderate Income: 28
This multi-phase development on land owned by the Town of Gibsons seeks to expand the supply of affordable rental housing so individuals and families can continue to live on the Sunshine Coast in the face of rapidly increasing real estate values and slow wage growth. Phase 1 includes a 40-unit, mixed-income building with studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. The project will also include community spaces for the residents such as outdoor gathering areas and community gardens.
