In response to growing housing need and an aging building stock, Gorge View Society initiated a multi-phase redevelopment of its 5.5-acre property, beginning in the early 2020s. The redevelopment is designed to replace older buildings while allowing existing residents—many of whom are seniors—to remain on-site through phased relocation. Phase 1 was completed in 2023 with a new 58-unit apartment building. Phase 2 adds a low-rise apartment building that includes family-oriented units. The development overall is creating new shared, community-oriented outdoor and indoor spaces.
